Do you have any questions about your project? Here is a few facts about decks that might make you decide which way to go. 

1. Composite Decks in darker colors can get hot enough to blister your feet and this is a big concern

for me with families that have young children or pets.

2. Composite Decks need joist every 12 inches to validate the warranty. Most decks are standard 16 inches on center, therefor if you wanted to change out the wood decking for composite you would need to add more joist or the warranty would not be good.

3. Composite Decks still need to be washed with a power washer every year so there is upkeep even with this style of deck.

4. Wood Decks need to be sealed after a period of drying time. This can just be a couple of coats of water sealer. You can stain the deck to change the tint but still seal it afterwards. However i do not recommond painting a deck.

5. Wood Decks are cooler in the summertime and if sealed the right way can last many many years.

6 Both Decks will fade over time and Composite colors change and are harder to match later on if you want to add to your deck or you may need to change a board out for some reason.
